Izumo and his partner, Kotetsu, were introduced in the beginning of chuunin exam. they both were assigned as Chuunin moderators for the first test. after the Godaime Hokage, Tsunade, took office, Izumo and Kotetsu act as personal assistants to her office. recently Izumo and Kotetsu were assigned to assist Asuma and Shikamaru in a mission to pursue Akatsuki
